Your hosts June & Mark from Southampton, England.

We have modelled "Mumford" on the traditional English style bed and breakfast, with a relaxed and casual atmosphere and the emphasis on "a home away from home". We emigrated to Halifax in 1996, we love it here and still feel like tourists! and we look forward to sharing our local knowledge and favourite walks, restaurants etc., with you.

At the start of your day wake up to the aroma of fresh coffee and home made Mumford Muffins. We serve an extensive continental breakfast in our dining room between 8-9 a.m. and we promise you won't leave our table hungry. We offer with our fresh baked muffins, fruit, warm croissants and a selection of preserves. We also offer a later breakfast for many of our guests who prefer a more relaxed start to the day (by request)

Your guest rooms "Captains Cabin" and "Garden View" are names we chose to reflect our own interests.

Marks choice ... "Captains Cabin"  "Take the helm as you drift off to sleep" Captains cabin a spacious and airy room with a beautiful solid pine bed, Mark has filled this room with photographs of his vacations on England's inland waterways and hot air balloon flight over Southern England.

June's choice ... "Garden View" "the easiest thing to grow in a garden is tired, this is one bed you won't have to dig before you sleep in it!" June's passion is her garden and her feathered friends who live right outside garden view, both themes are reflected in this single room which really is a cosy nest.

If needed our single room can be converted into a comfortable twin, as a full size bed is stored underneath.
